TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acclaris, Inc., a leader in reimbursement services for employee benefits, today announced the promotion of Mark Whittington, formerly the company’s COO, to CEO. Additionally, Mr. Whittington, Jim O’Drobinak and Dipankar Mandal have been appointed to the Board of Directors. These developments support Acclaris’ emergence as the leading reimbursement administrator for employee benefits and provides a strong foundation for the company’s accelerated growth plans.
Acclaris, Inc., a leader in reimbursement services for employee benefits, today announced the promotion of Mark Whittington, formerly the company’s COO, to CEO. He is succeeding John West, former CEO and Chairman, who will continue as Chairman of Acclaris. In making the announcement, Mr. West commented: "I have known Mark professionally for many years and he has a strong background in leading organizations through rapid growth and building winning teams. Mark’s promotion is really the result of a transition that has been naturally occurring over several months.” Prior to joining Acclaris, Mr. Whittington was Group President of Executive Resourcing for TMP Worldwide (parent company of Monster.com) where he was integral to the business’ growth from $100 million to $500 million in annual sales. Previously, he was COO of Tampa based System One Solutions, leading the company’s sales growth from $16 million to over $110 million in five years.
In addition, Acclaris announced the appointment of Mr. Whittington and Co-Founders Jim O’Drobinak and Dipankar Mandal to its Board of Directors. Mr. O’Drobinak is a successful local executive with significant human resource outsourcing and benefits industry experience. He was instrumental in the start-up of Acclaris in 2001. “Jim brings extensive, relevant experience to the Acclaris Board of Directors and is widely respected within the Tampa business community and our industry at large,” commented John West. Mr. Mandal is the President of Acclaris, responsible for the company’s product, process, and technology strategy.
