John West
Chairman

John has been involved with Acclaris since just after it’s inception in February, 2001, providing the initial seed capital in conjunction with a small group of investors/founders. He is currently, the CEO of Lion Ventures which provides capital and strategic advice to early stage companies. Previously, John was Founder/CEO of System One Solutions, a national technology staffing and consulting firm, which he sold to TMP Worldwide (previous parent company of Monster.com) in April, 2000.

Barry Goldsmith
Director

Barry is a co-founder of Updata Advisors and Updata Partners. He brings over 35 years of experience in the information technology industry, as a founder, senior executive, investor and advisor to leading software and IT services companies. Prior to Updata, Barry founded CGA Computer which became one of the top providers of information technology consulting services and software products to Fortune 500 companies. Updata Partners has been an investor in Acclaris since 2004.

Rich Erickson
Director

Rich is a Venture Partner with Updata Partners. He brings over 20 years of experience in executive management of public and private information technology companies to Acclaris. Rich started his career with networking firm Excelan, which later merged with Novell. Subsequently, he founded Digital Network Associates, a private network and systems integrator, that was eventually sold to United States Office Products. He later joined iXL, an Internet consulting firm, where he led the company’s merger integration with Scient. Prior to becoming a partner with Updata Partners in 2004, he was President and CEO of publicly-held AlphaNet Solutions, where he led the sale to Ciber.

Mike Rainey
Director

Mike is currently Managing Director of the Pharma and Medical Products industry group for Accenture Consulting, responsible for delivery of all consulting and outsourcing services within the segment. With 26 years experience in the healthcare industry focused on business strategy, operational planning, technology & business process change, and outsourcing solutions, he brings highly relevant and practical experience to the Acclaris Board. Mike has been associated with Acclaris since his early stage investment in 2002.

Jim O'Drobinak
Director

Jim was a co-founder of Acclaris and brings significant experience in HR outsourcing and employee benefits to the Board. Prior to starting Acclaris, he served as CFO of Applied Benefits Research (ABR) and was integral in the growth and ultimate sale of that business to Ceridian Benefit Services in 1999. Most recently, Jim was President of Advantec Solutions, a national professional employer organization. He currently provides high level financial consulting services to a number of businesses in the Tampa Bay area.
